Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Kova ("Kova", "we", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Kova launcher or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Kova.
1. What Kova is
Kova is a paid, client-side enhancement for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Windows. It runs on your own PC alongside your own copy of the game. Kova is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang, Microsoft, or Minecraft. All related trademarks belong to their owners.
2. Eligibility
- You must own a valid, licensed copy of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and a Microsoft/Xbox account.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, and old enough to enter a paid agreement. If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.
- You must provide accurate account and billing information.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Microsoft/Xbox account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. One person may hold one account. Your subscription is personal to you and may not be shared, sold, rented, or transferred.
4. Subscription and billing
- Kova is sold as a recurring monthly subscription at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method each period.
- You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices may change. We will give notice before a change affects you, and continued use after a price change means you accept it.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. One device per account
Your subscription runs on one Windows PC at a time. Kova binds to a device when you first launch it. You can move to a new PC by resetting your device from the launcher, subject to a short cooldown between resets to prevent account sharing.
6. Acceptable use
- Use Kova only with your own game and your own account.
- Follow the rules of any server, realm, or community you join. Some servers prohibit client modifications; using Kova there may get you banned by that server, which is your responsibility, not ours.
- Do not share, redistribute, resell, or publish the Kova software, its runtime, offsets, or any files it downloads.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, crack, circumvent, or tamper with Kova's licensing, device binding, or protection measures, except where that right cannot be lawfully restricted.
- Do not use Kova for any unlawful purpose or to harm, harass, or disrupt other players or services.
7. Licence
While your subscription is active and you comply with these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Kova for its intended purpose. We retain all rights, title, and interest in Kova and its software. This licence ends when your subscription ends or these terms are breached.
8. Third-party services
Kova relies on services operated by others, including Microsoft/Xbox and PlayFab (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), and Discord (community). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
9. Service availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. Because Kova depends on Minecraft, a game update may temporarily break features until we release a fix. We do not guarantee that Kova will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every game version.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Kova is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You use Kova at your own risk, including the risk of being banned from third-party servers or services. We do not warrant any particular result, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the ACL or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where it is lawful to do so, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kova and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, accounts, game progress, or access to third-party services, arising from your use of Kova. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, without refund, if you breach these terms, share or leak the software, abuse the service, or attempt to defeat its protections. You may stop using Kova and cancel at any time.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes take effect when posted, and continued use means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
